About Newell B. Robinson

Newell Robinson, MD, is the System Chair of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Co-Director of the John Brancaccio Structural Heart and Valve Center at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center. He is a leading expert in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, including heart valve repair, and has been a top researcher in numerous clinical trials at the hospital. Dr. Robinson has consistently been recognized for his contributions to cardiothoracic surgery, including being named one of the "Best Doctors" in New York Magazine, as well as one of America's Top Surgeons and NY Metro Top Doctors. He is board certified in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery and is a member of several professional societies, such as the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the American College of Cardiology, and the American Heart Association. Dr. Robinson also served as a co-principal investigator for the CoreValve trial, a major nationwide study that continues to revolutionize the treatment of aortic stenosis.

    The NP and Dr. Robinson were attentive, asked appropriate questions while making eye contact, were assuring and kind. They were both excellent!
